2024 Chicago Architecture Center Engineering Fest at the Willis Tower Celebrates Record Attendance
Chicago, IL – The Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) hosted their annual Engineering Fest at Chicago’s iconic Willis Tower on Saturday February 24th. With over 1,250 attendees, this year’s event was a huge success, exposing students ages 6 to 12 to engineering principals on the theme “building tall.” Cyclone Energy Group was the Event Supporting Sponsor and also volunteered by hosting an activity table.
The free event offered an array of activities designed to inspire and educate the students. In addition to a variety of activities hosted by the CAC, local industry experts hosted stations where students could use their own creativity to build activities and learn about the principals of engineering. Cyclone led students through the construction of tower launchers, and demonstrated how the construction and fine tuning related to the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering and math skills. In addition to engineering concepts, the students were exposed to sustainability, energy efficiency and environmentally conscience approaches to design and construction through various STEM learning activities throughout the day.
The timing of the event coincided with the last day of National Engineers Week.
